According to the Company for Consume Research "Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (GfK)" in Nuremberg, Germany, the VdF re-use system – with a market share of around 80 per cent – holds the lions share of the re-use volume in the Fruit Juice Industry.
The flagship among the VdF re-use system is the 1,0-litre bottle: with more than 65 per cent, it is the uncontested leader of all other re-use bottles in the industry. Compared to other 1,0-litre bottles in the Fruit Juice Industry, the figure even rises to nearly 80 per cent. This is followed by the 0,7-litre and the 0,75-litre VdF re-use bottles, each of which has a share of nearly 7 per cent.
A clearingservice ensures the smooth operation of the VdF re-use system pool, carrying out quality controls, modernisation measures and expansion steps in close co-operation with the glass industry, manufacturers of bottle carrying-crates and the Brewery Research and Teaching Institute (Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei) in Berlin. This keeps the pool up to date at all times.
